I did think of grinding the link and shock 3mm, then common sense got the better of me and I decided to return them to the seller...

Bubba was there for a brief minute however...

Yeah I did read the fine print prior to purchasing however Bubba said it would all be fine and we didn't need no fancy professional installation...

And the ones that did come on the car weren't adjustable...

While the FiST has never left me stranded, it has been back to the dealer a few times for little things. The HVAC system stopped working twice now, and the air flap actuator that controls flow direction broke once on top of that. Not to mention the random interior bits that fall off that I fix myself, or having to re-tighten the wing mirror bolts. (ETA: All this on a 2015 with just over 20,000 miles on it)

More to the point of the trans fluid, it also took me three dealerships before finding one I can sort of trust for warranty work. The place I bought the car from auto-signed me up for 3,000 mile out-of-pocket oil changes despite a 10,000 mile interval. When I asked about it, the guy responded with "Look, buddy" and it went downhill from there. The second one left the dash 3/4 torn apart while replacing the actuator, but the third has been decent so far.

And the sad part is that their quality has improved about 200% in the last ten years or so.

Nah, it was dry the last time I took the air box out, so this is a new development

I was hopeful that QC would be decent since this was built in their Germany plant. So far, apart from the head gasket fiasco, this has been my only issue so far, so I guess it could be worse.

This is what I'm most worried about. I had a very pleasant purchasing experience from the dealer I bought the car from but they are 300mi from me. I asked around the local ST/RS groups for service recommendation and they pointed me to this one tech/dealer who "hooks it up". Bringing it in next week... we'll see...
