I've gotten that a few times now -_-
I've had that one a few times too... I really think it's mainly because people don't know much about the twins and how similar they are. They see the Scion badge and think it's something completely different. If I have time I usually explain to them the reason why I chose the FR-S over the BRZ and how similar they are..

That's actually the part of this car that I dislike, everyone asks what it is and then just stare at you confused. I can't even count the times I've had to explain that Subaru and Toyota collaborated to make this Scion FR-S (most people around here have never even heard of Scion...). I might just rebadge it to Toyota simply to make it easier to explain to people lol.

A hater is someone who goes out of their way to act either verbally or physically in a negative way towards your vehicle, usually out of jealousy or simply uneducated on the topic.

Difference of opinion would be if you are already in a conversation with someone and they voice their personal opinion about your car when appropriate and can explain why they don't agree with you.

An A-hole in a SUV randomly gave me middle finger while waiting at the red light, he was in the other direction.

WTH, I keep hearing stories like this, where do you guys live?

And here I'm in Austin, getting red ape angry because someone didn't use their blinkers correctly (you know when they put the blinkers when they are already half way their turn at 0.005 mph).

I hate how 12 year olds think they have a valid opinion about cars. Especially on YouTube. Sometimes I want to gouge my eyes out listening to their ignorance

The only difference between the Toyota and the Scion is the headlight, everything else is just the same(Minus the navi and RHD). Ignorant people just makes me angry sometimes.

Yes, everything is the opposite. You are smart, I am dumb. The world is getting cooler, you are getting cooler.

My hater story is personal. Every time I turn off the TC/VCS and drive it like it should be driven, I am pissed at how little grip it has. The understeer and oversteer is really shocking. I'm smiling as I drift around the parking at work in first and second gear (I'm typically the last car out of the parking lot so I'm only being a little stupid), but it really is ridiculous how poorly these Michelins grab. It clearly a case of being slow and sideways, but I can't wait until I toss some some real rubber on this car and toss it around the track.
