Oh shit that looks horrible. This makes me wonder if a high flow cat is necessary

Stock exhaust running stock pulley on 335 with e85 we are still trying to find out cause but clogged header is part of it.

If I remember correctly, the stock pulley on the 335 pushes more boost than the smaller pulley on the 210. Which means you were trying to force 12+psi through a Stock Catted header at that. You basically tried to double the amount of air the exhaust would take, and left the brick wall in place.

My assumptions of what happened, based on what I know about the system.

New to superchargers with the 86, and bought mine already done. I miss pops and bangs on over run from the exhaust, is this just the nature of a super charged 86? My BMW 135i did it loads and I love it.

The car is running sprintex with OEM header, and hayward and scott exhaust system, no second cat. It sounds great but I would like the pops and bangs on over run.

Older mini cooper S that are supercharged do it loads...

You could possibly try and tune it in, it's just getting the timing and fueling correct to do it.

My tune from Moto-East has a map specifically to do this.

My catless car does this plenty. Get rid of that cat.

There has been speculation that excessive pressure builds in the gearbox at temperature and pushes oil beyond the gaskets.
I went ahead and vented the pressure while it was at temp by loosening the dipstick and tightening it again. Presumably it runs at in equilibrium now at temp, and under vacuum cold.

this has probably been asked before, but do you have to read the dipstick level with the supercharger unit parallel to the ground? Because it sits like 10 degrees crooked. Also where does the oil have to be on the dipstick? At the line?

Yes and Yes. Put a level on top of the supercharger and jack up the rear until it's level or put your car on a slope.

Out of curiosity - how many here have installed post IC temp sensors on the Sprintex 335? We have one we have been messing with one for a while and this thing is a heat monster. Have seen up to 110C intake air temps by the end of a single 4th gear pull. And this is with two massive 4000 CFM squirrel cage fans on the heat exchanger. Sprintex has been refusing to tell me what temps I SHOULD be seeing post IC, and they also are unable or unwilling to provide compressor maps so we can try to figure out what efficiency we are at.

^ is one of the two reasons I'm weary of upgrading to the 335 from 210. The other reason is cost + power supporting mods like clutch. Too many people have posted that they've blown their engines. Yes I know Moto-East ran it fine even on the track, but I'm still weary.

Does anyone have a sprintex kit w/ an invidia n1? sound clips?

Also figured out why my setup wasn't running right. Dealer advertised the car w/ a nameless axelback and that's what the tune was set up for, turns out they swapped it for full stock exhaust. Picking up an n1 this weekend!
