Subaru Idle Relearn Procedure

I recently paid to upgrade my Delicious tune from v17.5 to v18.5 and the update tune features a new 2k RPM rev hang. I requested an update to fix this hang from Delicious however the update resulted in a stalling at idle. Delicious tuning directed me to accomplish the following procedure to relearn the idle.

I have attempted to accomplish the procedure but may have missed one of the steps. The procedure seems overly complex for a simple reset and relearn. I am familiar with resetting throttle position on a VW using VCDS and was hoping a similar procedure exists for the Subaru/Toyota ECU.
Is there a techstream procedure for resetting the throttle body and relearning idle? I have a tactrix cable and can rent the techstream software.

you just do this: press acceleratore pedal 4-5times slowly to 100% and release slowly, with the dash on/engine off after a reflash before starting engine and letting it idle for few minutes

no need to other things, this will help enough

Worked for me. Even easier if you have Techstream to monitor.

Yes, that video outlines a 12 step procedure:

1) Turn off the lights, aircon, stereo or any system in the car that draws extra current on top of the engine.
2) Disconnect the battery for 30 mins.
3) Reconnect the battery.
4) Before you start the car for the first time, turn the key to the ON position but do NOT turn the engine over. Wait 10-15 seconds so the electronic throttle body or IACV has time to go to the factory programmed home position.
5) After waiting, start the car and let it idle without any load, lights, A/C etc.
6) Every 20 seconds or so the idle will be adjusted up and down as the ECU tries to adjust it towards a stoichiometric fuel / air mix.
7) Leave the engine running for a full 10 mins but DO NOT TOUCH THE ACCELERATOR during this time or turn on anything that will cause extra electrical current draw.
😎 Turn off the engine, and leave the key in the OFF position for at least 20 sec.
9) As per step (4) turn the key back to the ON position for 10-15 sec without actually starting the engine.
10) Start the engine and leave to idle for a further 5 minutes without touching the accelerator and without turning on other systems in the car.
11) Turn off the engine again and wait at least 20 sec before restarting.
12) Take the car for a test drive as the ECU should now be fully retrained.

I was hoping there was a techstream command to perform the relearn in one step.

I did not know about the Deposit Loss Flow PID.
Where did you find that section in the Toyota service manual?
That procedures seems to make a lot more sense than the 12 steps from the video.
I am still hoping there is a one and done command in Techstream

Am quite sure there isn't one, unfortunately. That excerpt in the photo was taken from a Toyota Venza manual but the 86/BRZ had the same PID, so figured it would be the same.

I think what tomm described if the tps relearn. The video sounds like it's a deeper reset for the ecu idle circuit relearn

I stand corrected, the same procedure I mentioned earlier is also in the FRS service manual (in the PID list)

Wont it relearn after a flash if you let it idle for 5-10 minutes? I thought that is why Zach tell you do let it idle after a flash.
