"Sweet Ride Bro" Encounters

was stuck in some light traffic in the middle of town, schools were letting out

had a guy that was waiting outside of an STS, must have been getting some work done to his ride

i just happen to look over at him, he see's me in my ride, i have my window half way down

he did a double take, even lifted his sun glasses, comes walking over from the side of the car

was talking to me from the side of the street, pretty cool guy, loved the car, gave me a thumbup :Thumbsup:

Was driving through eastern Cleveland, and a couple of teenagers cross the street behind my car. I had my windows down, and all I heard from one of them was a long "Daaaaaaaaammmmmmnn!"

I was parked outside of a corner store when an older gentleman dressed in a suit pulled up and got out of his SUV. He looked at my car for about 10 seconds then signalled me to lower my window. "this is a Subaru??" he said. I told him it was a brz and they just started making them recently. His response was "this is a fucking nice car!" . Then I said thanks and was on my way lol

I get the occasional "nice car" comments but two instances are worth mentioning...
I was in downtown San Mateo, California one night with a date...as we walk back to my car we see a group of cute girls circling my car. I unlock the car with my remote and one of them says, " oh this is your car? I was about to make love to it" haha since I was with my girl I couldn't say what I really wanted to say, I just replied "well, as long as you used protection, I guess it's ok" haha....the second occasion came as I was walking back to my car after picking up lunch. I see a kid with his friends taking pics with my car, not of it, WITH it...I wouldn't have cared but I see this kid lean on my car, so that immediately ticked me off...I walk to them and say "don't ****** touch my car" ...what would've been a flattering encounter turned into an annoying one...seriously though, what's with people? It's cool to admire but hands off! , haha

Yesterday, drove with the wife to drop her vehicle at a Honda dealership nearby. I'm just sitting there killing time on the phone, when 2 Honda salesmen walk out -- in the rain, no less-- and just start circling the car, staring at it. From the look on their faces, it was clear they'd never seen a twin before. You'd have thought a flying saucer landed.
And today when we went back to pick hers up, the service guys are asking me what it is too.
Since the car has been on the roads for 2.5 years by now, I really get a kick out of these encounters!

I have a deep, 3" long scratch along my roof that I'm almost certain happened from someone with a watch or something doing this with my car.

I have an opposite reaction from my co-worker...They asked why did I purchased a Scion when I used to drive either in my Cayenne or the 550i. I just said because I can and you can't l....lol

The cutest one that happened so far was from a ten year old boy helping his Dad to wash the family crossover SUV at a self-service car wash. First of all, the little brother (about two) managed to lock out both the father and big brother on purpose. (Father screaming, "Willie, unlock this door!!!") Anyway, after this incident, the boy walked over to get some packet from the vending machine; when he turned around, he spotted my Hot Lava FR-S getting its bath in the next stall. The kid just stopped, stood there and stared at my car for about five minutes, pure lust filling his little 10 year old heart. When I got done washing and drying, I drove off and Junior turned to watch me drive off and followed the car until I was out of sight. It was certainly the most sincere compliment I've received yet on the car's appearance.

I had my car parked while I was away on a trip and used the Valet services at the airport. When I got there no on really noticed my car since it was midnight. But when I came to pick it up the guy who gave me the keys and loaded my bag kept complimenting the car and saying he wanted one.

Stuck in traffic on a road that was reduced from three lanes to one. Two construction workers are walking by, one of them spots my car and points it out to the other guy. Other guy reacts kinda sorta. First guy then reaches into his pocket and grabs his phone, starts snapping photos, while I'm sitting in it with a look of disbelief.
