I remember something about an upgraded/modded batt tray that helps the dump batteries fit. I don't think It is in the "included" pic. Is there a parts list/how to for the batt tray mod?
also how long do you think it will be before someone throws together a twin charger setup with the ESC?.. just think low end torque of the ESC, with the top end of a turbo/mechanical SC? |

I will have to confirm with Rob about the standard batteries but I think so the fit in the standard frs battery tray. I don't think anyone will do a twin charge setup for a while. Complexity goes up exponentially when you add traditional fi. My personal opinion is the centi superchargers is the best bet for doing twin. Rob and I are going to try doing a sequential ecs in the summer maybe. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk |

Just confirmed with Rob. Standard dump pack fits fine in stock battery holder. If you add additional you will have to go to a different group number battery holder. These should be relatively inexpensive. @jpit can comment on how much the tray was.

I was just curious because the phantom site lists the power-sonic dump pack and a compact starter battery. I am not sure but I though you could fit the dump pack with the factory starter battery, but only if you modded the tray. I know I could save weight, but to save money I can just wait till the stock batt dies before I upgrade.
... ok found it. It was on the first page "Rob has also fitted a larger battery tray and with it we are able to run essentially the stock battery size with the dump batteries on the side. This will help me with starting in the winter. Total weight increase over stock with current battery setup is 9 lbs." Just curious as to where to get one and what size tray will fit.. though it does say "essentially", so maybe the stock batt won't fit, guess I'll have to do some measuring. |

I don't think you can get the stock battery to fit with any size battery tray. I went with the Odyssey PC 925 which is much smaller than stock and was able to get it to fit with a larger tray. I had to put the Odyssey on its side to make it work and Rob had to fabricate some extension terminals for me. Right now I have the four battery system and had to move the Odyssey to the spare tire location. If anyone is thinking of doing this, the Odyssey is a good choice as it is leak proof and doesn't emit hydrogen. Don't have to worry about ending up like the Hindenberg.

alright thanks for the heads-up. Seems like anything you do you have to swap the starter battery. And anything with the 4 dump setup requires starter battery relocation.
jpit I remember you posted your setup. How did you run the power wire into the cabin? through the firewall? Curious to see a dyno of the TQ250 with the 4 battery system vs the 2 batt(also like to see a tuned comparison between the 4 batt TQ250 and the TQ300) From what I remember the 4 batt is necessary for the tq300. I am pretty much sold on the system, but depending on what Shiv is able to do with the tune and the different setups he compares will help me decide how I am gonna go about it. |

Had some dyno time to dial in the TQ300 a bit more in our shop car. Running 91oct (E85 will come later after). Still running the standard TQ250 single dump pack set-up. Will upgrade to the twin dump pack set-up since the TQ300 is more current hungry than the TQ250 (voltage drops to 19.0v towards the end of the dyno pull). According to Rob, dual dump packs will hold voltage better and could be worth another 10whp. All said and don't, it would be nice to see 230whp on pump gas which seems perfectly feasible.

id like to know the hp & tq gains on a stock brz/frs with the kit. an 1/8mile & 1/4mile time would be cool 2.
it would also be good to get the numbers for a brz/frs with headers and full exhaust with this kit. sorry if the data was posted already... its hard to find in these 150 pages |

Is it me or is Shiv's TQ-300 tune w/header comperable to the e-85 TQ-250 output? looks like roughly 8 hp/10 tq less on 91, and very similar curve.
