The tech indicated that since the car appeared to be behaving normally and was no longer showing the error, he felt that it could have been just a sensor malfunction, or some debris in the factory oil that caused the problem. He wrote up a work order to document the issue and told me to keep an eye on it.

I have right at 2,800 miles on it, so I'm thinking about changing out the oil a little early, in case debris was indeed a factor.

Any other suggestions or comments ?

That is exactly what the tech said. I hope this is not an indication of a future problem with my car.
