ECUTEK Question

Hopefully and easy quick question for you ECUTEK experts. I will be running ecutek software with my Kraftwerks SC. This is a non carb compliant system. 5 years from now I will have to do an emissions test here in Canada. With Ecutek do I have the ability to flash back to the original rom? Yes I know it will be a pain to remove the super charger, but hey do what you gotta do. Currently I have OFT so I can flash back and forth between dealer visits. Does Ecutek work the same way? For instance before I flash my SC Tune, does ecutek store my toyota rom?

ECUtek has base ROMs in it's download folder for ProECU, which is the software that you use to tune/flash. It doesn't save your stock ROM but there's no real need to.

Why do you need to remove your supercharger? Isn't the test an OBD test where they plug into the port? I have the Innovate Motorsports with ECUTek and I don't think I'll need to remove this before the test.

I hope I don't need to remove it. Won't really know until then

Well I hope so too because tests are done every two years after that and I certainly don't want to be putting this on and off every two years. That's not worth it.

If anything yes there are stock roms provided. But if your inspection is anything like ours (in NJ) is, I could roll in with my turbo and resonator "cats" and as long as I don't have a CEL I'd pass.
