Most certainly!
But just don't insult Matias anymore it seems to rile people up for no good reason.

No doubt; you want 3 cylinders, rear wheel drive, 6 speed manual. Now, assuming you have some seat time in something like this, it is NOT for beginners.

I would go for the fz07 or something even slower. I have little experience, and last time I rode a dirt bike I fell over trying to stop. LOL

Well, maybe the Miata ain't the most manly looking car, up on top of Pikes Peak, but we will challenge any stock, non German built car, to a race to the bottom (while staying on the road).

Especially, my buddy, and his co-pilot, neither of which know fear. Yep, she sits on the top of the back seat, holding onto the windshield frame, screaming … faster - faster ..

Yep, pot is legal in Colorado.

Before I had my FR-S,I was driving a '98 200 SX. Not fast or anything, but I usually got between 430~450 miles per tank of gas, which came down to only two fill-ups per month at just over $30 per!

Parts were relatively cheap as well for that car. It was easily the cheapest cost to own car I've ever owned. Wish I'd never traded it in.

IS300 would be my pick for a cheap reliable daily.

Edit: Lol I just read the first few posts re: your old IS300. Nevermind!

Along the same sort of vein you can now pick up some pretty nice Eclipses dirt cheap. With the right paint and body kit you can play movies star.

Maybe if I could find a deal on a clean already rare 5 speed.

Mine was auto. sold it out of just getting bored of it and needed space at the time. had 260k miles and ran like a top.

I will be buying a used FX35 for the winter.. can find some for dirt cheap right now and I am sure that even at 150KMs those things are still good for a while.

As a quick check, I went on Autotrader, selected $4,00-$6,000, RWD or AWD, Couple or Convertible and any distance from me.

There were 21 pages of cars that showed up, although I think about half of them were smart cars. The rest ranged anywhere from a Pontiac Fiero's, Corvettes, BMWs, Camaros/Firebirds/Mustangs, 300ZX, and of course Miatas.

Lots of good choices, many of them I would buy. My favorite that I saw through a quick scan was a 87 MR2 with a "new" engine (300) miles, in Red. Sadly its an AT, though.
