Cost of the LS2 and trans.
Buying the wrecked 06 GTO 142,000miles 1 owner $7200.
I drove the car 30miles home engine and trans were good. (win)
Took LS2, trans, clutch, had tilton 13/16 master with braded hoses (win)
Sold GTO rims $500, Sold GTO body$1000
Still have ECM E40,enging harness, GTO pedal and engine and trans mounts for the GTO to sell.
Current cost of LS2, trans and clutch $5700

Min cost to convert 24tooth crank to 58tooth for MoteC.
Crank, cam gear, main bearings, rod bearings, pan gasket, front and rear gasket sets, rod bearings, $570 (I got a good deal on the unused crankshaft and cam gear)

I'm breaking up the engine overhaul separate from 24x to 58x. I took the engine down to bare block took to work and ran though the parts washer light hone the cyl bores. Took the heads down cleaned and installed new valve springs and seals. BTR stage 2 cam kit, ls7 lifters, oil pump, ARP rod bolts, ARP head bolts, ATI damper, updated air bleed kit and other necessary gaskets $2000
After this was done I realized I should have sold my running ls2 and bought a ls3.

MoteC $5895.
Sensors for MoteC $510

Sold FA20 and trans +$2000
CX racing mounts, headers, y-pipe $1400
Mishimoto rad and fans $588
Aluminum drive shaft local source $350
MagnaFlow exhaust $500
Rough number on misc parts $500

So LS swap no MoteC $9038 plus stand alone harness and vat removal $800.
$9838 Minus $2000 for the FA Total $7838

My ls swap with MoteC, engine overhaul, cam kit $18,013 Minus $2000 for the FA Total $16,013
If anyone finds faults with numbers please let me know. Or if any questions.
The car is running and driving. Had it tuned still needs more tuning, tuner not familiar MoteC for now making safe 360hp and 340tq at the tire. Starts and runs so far no major set backs. I was happy to drive it before winter came.
