Well, for the very basics, the Rack is always a good source of info. On this page, the Tire Tech and Wheel Tech sections are places to start: http://www.tirerack.com/about/techcenter.jsp.

I still refer to this page from time to time: https://www.rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html.

See here, always the first place to look at when looking at a specific wheel and you get to see that specific size/offset mounted:

And voila:

He is running coilovers though, it might fit with springs, will be tight.

I'm looking to get a set of Enkei Kojin 17x9 45 5x100 but I'm on stock suspension. Will this work on stock or will I need to get spacers for the front? Or can this only work with coilovers/springs?

I have tried to read up on this as much as I can but I am still really new to this wheel stuff but with all the numbers and stuff its crazy confusing ha.

Thanks!

It'll work on stock suspension and clear okay, but if you drop it on springs or camber bolts, you'll be too close to spring perch and need to add spacers at that point.

It's the piece from the strut that the spring sits on, see below.

04 BBS as in 2004 WRX BBS wheels? What size and offsets are they? Guessing 17s from the tire size you posted.

I'm on Stock Wheels (Limited Aozora so STI rims), but my father has some 205/45R17's that are good quality, picking up my car tomorrow, and wondering if I should even bother putting these on? They are decent quality ZR's compared to the original, I know they'll fit but just wondering if its remotely a good idea or should I consider trading them for a better pair?

New guy here, need a little help on wheel and tire combo. I searched and read as much as i could but just wanted to be sure. I plan on buying Rota P1-R's 18x9.5 +38 and was wondering if that would fit in the front, i know the back would be okay, i am lowered on eibach sportlines. If it does fit what would be the best tire size? Thanks.

Fairly sure this is a common setup, I've heard of 19's even fitting fine without rub with 1" drop in similar size.

Still looking for a answer myself if I should get these tires on or just don't bother.
