Thanks guys. Went for a drive up in the foothills to clear my head and I feel much better. The start up company I work for (5 employees total) basically lost its main financer, so we are done. Got a check for this week's pay and vacation pay out, but nothing else. Not my first start-up, so I'm not too surprised (unfortunately, most fail), just disappointed I didn't get to see it grow. Bummed since I really enjoyed working with my tiny team.

On the plus side, mid-week drives are back!

When one door closes, another one opens. On to the next one!

Man, one week's pay is rough. I feel like usually if a startup can do 1-3 months then that's great.

Hope you can find something quickly! Forgive me if you've mentioned this here before, but what kind of work do you do? Engineering, business, marketing, etc.?

Decided to do a "dumb" purchase and bought this on ebay new for like $8 straight from Japan: http://imgur.com/a/S4Xpo

The quality of it is actually pretty nice. Sturdy like a hot wheels car and the front doors actually open, and of course the steering is RHD. Didn't take any pics of that but can if anyone's interested.

Wish I could've gotten it in CWP but they only had the '17 BRZ in WRB of course or Series.Yellow, which was like 10 bucks more (meh).

Haha, it wasn't even one week's pay, just the rest of this week, so basically 2 days lol but it's alright, it's something.

I'm actually a mechanical engineer, but I specialize in medical devices. Lots of jobs in the bay for my type of work, but pretty slim pick'ns here in Sac. I'll probably enjoy the rest of my week, then back to job hunting, which is the suckiest part of this whole thing.

Nice! Where did you go? My wife got me classes from the crucible in Oakland for my bday a couple years back. It was like a "sampler platter" for some of their classes. I got to weld, sand cast aluminum and blacksmith. It was so much fun, too bad we moved. Hmmm...maybe I'll build a forge in my back yard....hehe

UC Davis has a Craft Center where you could sign up each quarter even if you're not a student there and you get access to the shop anytime they're open. They have a bunch of other stuff too like ceramics, blacksmithing, woodworking, flameworking with glass, etc. Not sure if any of the community colleges in Sac have something similar.

The harness that should have come in the box finally arrived. So finally got to put in the Bazooka tube into the Yaris.

I played some hip hop, dance/dubstep, and some pop to tune it. lol. Oddly enough, it'll start to distort once the gain is past 1/3. I have the 50w version in the FR-S at 3/4 before it starts distorting. Then again, the one in the Yaris will distort at a volume I wouldn't be listening at (half on the Kenwood HU, which is pretty damn loud). Maybe I'll turn up the gain more on the tube itself (turned the gain on the HU down, but maxed out the sub volume), and just lower the sub volume if I need the overall volume higher.

I also turned down the 62.5Hz EQ a notch or two, and capped off the LPF to either 80 or 90Hz with an 18dB/octave slope since the tube's max frequency is 85Hz.

I'll see how everything sounds on the road heading to the cemetery in a bit.

Ummm, let's see. I turned down the lowest bass EQ, limited the highest frequency that's coming out of the sub slightly higher than 80Hz. Lol

Sorry to hear about this Bryan . Good luck on your new search.

I'm actually at a med company now. And we have a much larger 'owner' company in the San Jose area. HOWEVER, some of our largest customers are in SoCal (in the nice newer areas too ). Something happens to me here...well, let's just say I'm being very polite to them visiting customers
