anyone in the sgv/rosmead/mpk area have a j2?
Was thinking of getting the quad tip for my car. Was wondering if any of you in the area have this so we can meet up and i can check it out. Some people are saying it's too loud, some people are saying it isn't I want one thats loud when needed to be lol, but pretty mellow to low volume when cruising 3k rpm.

I used to have one. It's on the louder side but what annoyed me were the fitment problems. The ebay vendor DNA motorsports or speed daddy were gracious enough to let me return it for a refund, so give it a try. Also, the quad tip doesn't look so good with the standard rear bumper IMO. I've also read that it's very loud when paired to other exhaust parts, like headers so keep that in mind.

yea at the time i wanted the trd exhaust but a little more louder/deeper. My j2's sound is perfect, but im looking for a good muffler shop to tinker it. Was wondering if cutting the tips off would alter it's sound if i replaced it with a dual. =P

Yea, you're the third guy telling me to go there. I went today, mike said worst case scenario 100$. He's going to play around with it, first he's going to bend it around if thats not right hes going to cut it up and add some piping. He has an eye for it so im going to trust him.

I have a j2 quad custom. I got rear ended so I had to replace the axle back section. So maybe it's not a j2 no more, since I have new mufflers now lol
