interior light DOOR mode not working

does anyone know how to remedy the interior map light not working when in DOOR mode? it turns on when i switch it to ON, but doesn't seem to function when left in opening the doors in DOOR mode. I suspect a blown fuse, but i can't seem to find the correct location from the manual. Thanks in advance for your help.

I don't think the DOME light fuse in the relay box in the engine bay is the problem.

The wiring diagram (page 76 of BRZ wiring manual) shows it feeds off a signal from the main ecu to the door switch to the dome light for the door mode. IF the fuse was a problem at all then it would not work in direct on mode either.

I would be tracing down the door switch and lastly the main ecu signal. Possibly even the wiring in the dome light if there was any disassembly such as installing a homelink dimming mirror.

Take it to a dealership. That's what a warranty is for.

Can you please point me towards the place where you were able to get the manual?

Hi guys. i do have the same problem here with my dome light.
Was my mistake and i shortcircuit the dome light. Pluged the laptop to delete the dtc code, but since then only works when is the on position.
If i put the door position wont came on at all. Anyone knows how to fix it without changing the ecu?

The door setting is directly ground controlled by the ECM. The dome light uses the same positive circuit in all positions. So if it lights up when switched to 'On' but doesn't work on 'Door', then it's either a problem with the wire going from the dome to the ECM or inside the ECM itself.
