The dealers say that they are "factory installed options" (direct contradiction to Scion corporate who claims that there is nothing added to the car from the factory, all options are added by dealer) and as such the dealers "hands are tied" when it comes to car configuration. If you press them they will relent that they are lying and they do determine the options but still won't give you what you want.

All Scion has done is put me through to a dealer customer service rep who jumped up and down to help me until they get shot down by the sales manager who knows they can keep inflating their profits with wheel locks and "rear bumper appliques". Sorry for the rant, I've pretty much given up on buying one (I'm crotchety and picky and won't put up with liars ) but my father is still fielding salesmen.

Steven's Creek has an Ultramarine one, call quick before they put leather in it!
Sorry didn't realize you were talking about a FRS.

Pls don't tell them I picked up an FRS at Dublin Toyota/Scion. 3 week wait. Talk to AJ! He held my FRS for 2 days (Sat and picked up Sunday night). It was a matter of time of who was going to call me first, Dublin Toyota did - no hassle and straight forward. Talk to AJ! I visited both dealers 3 weeks prior.

I'm happy and saved a few bucks . Now my wife says it needs a spoiler, I asked her which she likes...
Carsmo or five axis spoilers would be the best choices.

Merced Scion may still have a M/T Argento FR-S.

They sell at MSRP, and I was waitlisted there before I got mine.

Speak to Robert Riley, the Internet Customer Relations Manager. He's very professional yet he has a good sense of humor! I would've went here if they had my FR-S in stock.

I promised him that I would refer him to potential buyers since I had a good experience talking to him on the phone numerous times.

First post! I've been interested in the BRZ since release but gave up because the demand and markup was way too high. I started looking for one again this month after seeing the options I wanted from Putnam on cars.com listing at MSRP. I went there and I was greeted with 7k market adjustment and after "negotiating" they won't sell the car below 33k for a limited. Most of the dealerships in NorCal is asking at least 2-3k markup. Serramonte has a white PREMIUM brz that won't budge on a price below 31k! Ridiculous!

Side note: Does anyone know how accurate is the true market value prices on edmund and kbb? Both sites lists the true market value of a brz at MSRP in the bay area. I don't get how that is possible after checking out the stealerships!

Check out PMOK 's thread re buying out of state. That's the only way to go. Trust me, I have been in your shoes before and now I am a happy owner driving the car without being raped.

Stay far away from Serramonte Subaru by far the worst dealer I have ever dealt with.

Toyota/Scion of Walnut Creek took delivery of a AT FR-S in Whiteout on the morning of 12/12/12. All season tires, wheel locks, and trunk mat were the only adds so far. They told me they had one interested buyer who was supposed to take a look this evening but they never showed.

They're also slated to receive another AT in Firestorm in a week or so, dunno what that one is coming with though.

Great team over there helped me get my MT Asphalt last week. Look for David.

It always makes me feel better to look at Piercey Scion, how long has that $38k car been there? 3 months? So much for the fastest selling car.

This is probably the only time they can mark it up until next year models come out.
