"My unjustified opinion after 3 years is that I wont ever buy another car with a Subaru engine. Not that it has done me bad, but I just dont like it and time is not making me any fonder"

I state that I do not like the Subaru engine, and that based on that I will not be buying Subaru products or Subaru engined products in the future.

And what exactly are you winning at? Being in love with an inanimate object? Get some help for that unless you are Japanese, I hear its ok over there.
Okay, wow. I'm equally "impressed" by people throwing insults at complete strangers on internet forums.
I'm not going to respond to any of this, I'll just walk away. Again.

I do find it funny just how mean and nasty people get on the internet over someone's different opinion. But I also see where they're coming from, at the same time. You can test drive these cars, just like any other. It's character and capabilities are evident pretty quickly from a test drive. If you weren't impressed or happy with it, why buy it!?!?!? If you don't like the TQ dip, headers + tune! That's what I'm doing, and mainly just because I like the boxer rumble! I don't understand the hate this car gets. The car guys at work were skeptical until they rode with me. I haven't found a single person that doesn't like the car after they've experienced it. This is 80% of a cayman for 30% of the price. There's a little bit of magic in this car if you just give it a chance, and play to it's strengths, like any other car.

I think @NOHOME used a poor choice of words when he used "Real Engine". But this is no different than people liking ford engines over Chevy engines, mopar etc. etc. It's just personal choice. Boxer layouts just aren't aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Look at the Porsche boxers. Form over function. Sure, but when you lift the rear lid .... UGLY. UGLY. I'm sure you can dress the boxer up. But stock .... It is not pretty to look at. As for performance ... It works PERFECTLY in this car. Just don't lift the hood.

I do not like the sounds the FR-S/BRZ engine makes. Everything else is great.

I do have to disagree with one point though. There is a very large group of us here where the car is damned near perfect as is. I could name probably 100 off the top of my head but Ultra, Trom and Sar pop right to mind. We are the crowd that just drive it and don't get bent out of shape over dyno graphs and if the engine bay is pretty. We clock our miles, get our groceries and have fun when it presents itself. Those that want to street race or feel they need more can look down upon us if they wish but we are the guys the car was really made for and will be the ones that keep it alive.
End sermon.
Engrish can't be helped... Cuz that's what I speak, Engirsh & not English lol

You stated yourself damn "near" perfect... still not perfect :P

Put the joke on the side, I know what you mean.

Oh wait! We have the refresh for 2016.
I've told you in the other thread, but new gen 86 is in the development.

I've told you in the other thread, but new gen 86 is in the development. And even though you are as close to a reliable source as possible you still got your info from a Facebook post that could be misinterpreted I will not believe anything 100% until Toyota puts their officially sanction press release out. Not for one second saying you are mistaken but also not falling for the rumours

No! Mine!! Cuz I own it!!!! lol

My unjustified opinion after 3 years is that I wont ever buy another car with a Subaru engine. Not that it has done me bad, but I just dont like it and time is not making me any fonder.

And before anyone spews chapter and verse from The Book of Subaru about CG being ruined: don't bother because unless you move the engine to the roof, the difference would not be noticeable.
YES! And I wish my Ferrari only cost $25K but some things were not made to be.
