The initial response that OEMs will always put a package on the car that gets maximum gas milage is the right answer. With CAFE fleet standards, the 215s on really hard tires that return close to 30 mpg is the right OEM choice for Subaru. I think this is why we see the PP BRZ come with 7.5" rims that should have 225s/235s, but still running the 215s. Also, I can't recall the BRZ tS rim width (8"?), but it is still running 215s. As to user needed size, please see all the STX BRZ drivers running 255s. If I had a BRZ, it would be on 17x9s with between 235 and 255s in STX trim. - brian |

For the JDM. We are talking about the US version being released, which will run 215s. It still has a 7.5" width wheel though

I am curious to see if it's suppose to be an improvement over the first design. I know the first GT wing was tested extensively on the Nurburgring as part of development of the 2013 tS. Apparently the US version saw some limited development time at buttonwillow.
