I know Edelbrock's map is locked.
Does any sell a good base map that's not locked???
Nobody does. Tuners don't give away their work!

@shr133 just interested to know why you want to tune yourself... isn’t this 1 of those things best left to those with experience?
Don’t know anything about you of course, so just asking.

I know how to tune and it's my hobby tweaking and tuning my rides and I used to tune race cars back in the day.
The only problem is building a map from scratch will be very time consuming.
Plus each tuner has his own philosophy and they don't spend much time on the whole map and tune extra safe...
Plus I don't want to pay for every tweak... Like if I want to adjust my torque maps, set up a traction control map, set up some custom maps and map switching...

That's what I figured, hoping someone had just a base safe map to start with..
That's one of the reasons I'm going supercharged, should be much easier to set up. I'll have to call some local tuners, but looks like I'm on my own..
Well I have all winter to work on it... I'm too hands on to have a caned map that's locked..

Have you ever tuned an engine that features cam phasing or direct injection?

Ok - fair enough - you have the experience to do so yourself

This has been the first time, but for NA it was easy to figure out. I used to build race engines, run the dyno, flow bench, ect so I have a very good understanding of engines. What's great is you can change the tune over RPM and load to maximize performance at all levels. I have been tuning my car for 2 years now and it is really running good, I love it, never had a car run this good.
So now it's time to go to the next level, although I'm still debating if I should convert to E85 first than add the supercharger or just go for it during my winter up grades.

That's actually awesome!

I'd recommend doing the E85/flex tune while NA to reduce risk and also learn how ethanol affects everything, as well as getting your cold starts down, before going FI. In some ways, it's similar to tuning methanol, and when you have to make compensations that work across a range of gasoline and ethanol, it gets a bit more complicated

Any one have problem with belt squeal at start up? I have a conti belt.(only 2k on it) Just started after I put in my built engine. All the pulleys seem lined up correctly belt seems a little loose between the a.c. and water pump (longest run). Also it was on the car when last motor blew.

Thanks, that's what I thought. Easier and safer to tune while NA.. I know the flex fuel kit allows you to change the fuel back and forth but seams like you would have to pick your mix that you want to use and optimize the tune for it...

Any news and questions...

Any news on th 2017 kit?

Is the jackson racing combo radiator the best cooling option? Works well with stock fans and lower temp tstat?

Is a clutch needed for daily+spirited+trackdays?

Cant wait for the kit to be released!!!

Still waiting.

A clutch is not needed, unless you're going to also run E85 with the kit.

The JacksoN Racing DROC is the easiest and cost effective solution. Anything else will cost more.

I recommend you PM and get your kit ordered so you can get in on the first batch the day it's released.
