yes, yes you should. the best speakers are one's that are in use!

Duracell looks like is made by East Penn. They should be a good choice if you can get it at a decent price.
my understanding is the main issue with agm type batteries like the optimas are that they require more methodical cycling to maintain full charge capacity across their lifespan, and due to the gell agm style, they aren't excellent at short-medium high draw usages. there was a roadkill episode on youtube where they very quickly talked about how they used optimasin all their builds because they got them for free from optima as 'bad' warranteed batteries, they'd cycle them a few times from full charge to zero, and be good as new.

Optima's are actually not gel batteries. As far as I can tell there are very few that are as the production process to make them a gell is not worth it. There is basically silica in the electrolytic fluid to make it a "gell". Absorbed glass matt accomplishes about the same thing and is easier to produce.

We have brought back some discharged Optima's, but the main problem is their lead plates don't hold up to rough use. I believe they are using a higher content of recycled lead, which is more brittle, leading to cell failure.

I got a Duracell replacement for the Yuasa that came in my SV650.
Have had no problems with it so far.
That was a year before I broke my knee though.
It's been sitting with a battery tender for the last year and a half.

AGM.. it's starting to come back to me a little. i knew i got a few details wrong, and was going to edit my post, but decided it was better to just let you correct me on it

at one point, i had done a lot of looking into optima's and how they were different, understanding the battery topology to some extent. in the end, i realized that normal batteries work for all of my needs, and generally forgot everything i thought i needed to know about optima's other than how they separate additional monies from wallets.

Yeah I had a yellow top Optima in my WRX and it worked great. The red top was on my list but it was a bit heavy. The Duracell looks good on paper for what they advertise versus the price. I'm going to try it (in my Fiancée's Impreza haha). My BRZ I'm thinking Shorai. I really want to do a Lithium Ion or Lithium Iron. The Antigravity looks amazing but it's freaking $829... Size is perfect though, great CCA, that's a chunk of change to save 10-15lbs though. The auto restart failsafe is pretty neat .
