These small removable accessory switch panels are, IMO, the key to figuring out the make and model.

I feel like its an import form the early to mid 90's. But that's just a guess based on my gut feeling.

I posted in the hope that either someone would recognize the dash and vent layout or would recognize the larger picture it was cropped from, since it has some odd graphics in it that might identify it. That switch is used on many cars, but the stalk itself differs from model to model. The only car I could find that uses that exact stalk is a Suzuki Liana, but that's not a Liana dash.

That's the argument I was involved with on Facebook. Some believe the arrows indicate toward and away for high beams, while others believe the arrows indicate right and left for turn signals. It was a stupid argument, yet it was apparently a scissor statement that caused the discussion to devolve into ridiculous insults and offensive behavior.

I was trying to find the actual car to put an end to the fighting, but at this point I'm so disgusted with humans in general I no longer really give a shit.

Inevitable conclusion.

Also sorry about. It's reminiscent of the stalk that was on my '96 Toyota Tercel, but to Tcoat's point, it is generic enough that it could be out of any one of dozens of cars. Although I suspect something Japanese.

Sorry mate, I should have used italics

My answer was going to be either BMW or the blinker stalk in my Mrs ASX.

I apologise for any confusion

No worries, pretty sure we were making the same joke. As in BMW drivers don't use turn signals (nor your Mrs. apparently), but they do enjoy flashing their high beams at everyone.

Early-mid 90s JDM (the REAL meaning of the term) Nissan with the gauges and a bunch of dash trim missing?

Usually happens anywhere by the 10th post. I just got into it tonight on a dog food forum.

Anyway, pretty sure that stalk came from some kind of Spider.
