I never listen to cd's anymore. I have >4000 songs on my iPod (that's 244 days of never hearing the same song twice), and if I tire of that then I switch to radio, and then I switch to engine noise

I don't think it is....unless you missed a 0 on that 4000. Or >4000 actually means ">>>>4000"

It's a bit over 10 days worth of music if played back to back. Since I'm not in my car for 24 hours at a time, I figured that I'd make it a bit more realistic in terms of everyday driving. So, for 10.2 days worth of music, and being that there are 24 hours in a day; that yields 244.8 hours of music. Assuming I average an hour a day in my car, that would mean I can listen for just under 245 days without repeating a song. In actuality, I might make it three weeks before having to repeat songs since I skip through songs all the time lol.

Still used my tapes and tape deck still about 3 years ago lol.

I did have a Mp3.
Didnt like it.
It wouldnt play half of my songs or it would start playing then would seize up

What is the sound quialty of a Ipod like?
I may think about buying one sometime in the future.

I've been using my Samsung Epic for my media source for about 2 years now. Bought a 32gb card for it and threw a bunch of music in. That plus the SportsRadio Android app and that's all I need. I've since picked up a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and I'm trying to find a quality car mount for it. Then I'll even be able to put some movies in there for road trips.

Just give me an audio jack and a USB port and I'll be more than happy.

Yeah my gps already has a usb input and that's my main source for music. If the 86 comes with a usb input and an aux input (for my droid X) then I'd be golden. I wouldnt even need to upgrade the sterio to a gps since I now have my phone.

I still use CD's, but I'm thinking of upgrading. I would love to have my entire collection play randomly. Of course I would have to have a huge hard drive since I have a nearly infinite collection. Where can I buy a system like this for my car? Does anyone happen to know if hhgregg sells any decent audio equipment? Any particular name brands I should look for, or avoid? Thanks.

I haven't used a CD in my cars for.. hell years now.. at least 5 or 6 years.

Definately worth the switch to an MP3 player

Oh and thanks for not creating a new topic just to state that x 1000

It's as good as most stereo head units.

Stock earbuds suck though. But that shouldn't be an issue in a car.
