Are either of these going to be hatchbacks?

The brilliant thing about my old AE86 was that it was every day practical thanks mainly to it's hatch back which I could get my bike it, didn't look too flash and was great fun to drive on its relatively skinny 195 tyres.
Now I look at these press releases and see a tiny boot (trunk), wide tyres and huge tea tray spoilers.
I'm not convinced that this is anything like the AE86.

Not only that, but this new fr-s has room for a set of 4 tires with the rear seats folded down. Plenty of room back there.

Yeah, and i want hastback. with booring 1.6 turbo with 150hp. And FWD. Yeah.

Actually no, i want this car as it is. RWD coupe with nice power to weight ratio and 2.0 N/A, very good handling and beautiful exterior.

Haha or attract fans of the car itself. If the AE86 didn't exist, FT-86 wouldn't exist.

There are some good things about it having a trunk instead of hatch (already discussed somewhere I'm sure): More lightweight, more rigid with sheetmetal coming across below rear window, lacks hatch shocks which tend to go bad faster. Hmm... what else is there?

a simple search would of gave you your answer about 50 times over

also this car is a spiritual successor not a modern ae86

Not sure which wing you are refering too since we have seen the grand am wing, the huge sti like wing and the brz sti concept gt wing but either way it will most likely be a option so you dont have to get it.
