Thanks!
I don't think there is anyone in central Canada with one. I had a 2009 wrx 265 and a 2011 sti before my FRS so I know how you feel. As it stands my FRS is faster than my stage 1 wrx was and about the same as my stage 1 sti was.

It's funny, but in the end you might actually find a use for those worthless little fans the trolls were posting pics of back in the beginning.

Bummer. I'll have to think of an excuse to have work send me out west.

Bah. FYI for those with an frs without fog lamps the cooling mod is a lot easier and cleaner. When @nlowell has a chance he needs to post his design.

Straight line performance? Really?

My wrx stage 1 made 250 who but was 3250 pounds. My still stage 1 made about 265 who but was 3405 pounds.

My FRS is at about 210 but is only 2700 pounds.

The sti kicks in harder because it has a exponential torque curve at 4000 rpm when torque spikes.

I would say it feels very similar to the wrx for straight line performance because it is a nice gradual torque curve.

Here's what I've done to keep the ESC controller cool.

I had to do this mod in under 20 minutes as I was in the middle of packing the family up to head out of town. Told the wife I was packing up the car and quickly got to work =)

Supplies Needed:
- Brake Duct Hose ([ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006K8KBK0/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1"]Amazon.com: Allstar ALL42150 Black 3" x 10' Brake Duct Hose: Automotive[/ame])
- Hose Clams ([ame="http://www.amazon.com/HPS-SSTC-76-84-76mm-Stainless-T-Bolt/dp/B0058W7X0A/ref=zg_bs_15710721_16"]Amazon.com: HPS (SSTC-76-84) 76mm - 84mm Stainless Steel T-Bolt Clamp for 2-3/4" Hose: Automotive[/ame])
- Duct Mounting Plate ([ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BPUTL4/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1"]Amazon.com: Spectre Performance 8148 Air Duct Mounting Plate: Automotive[/ame])
- Zip ties

Tools Needed:
- Utility knife (to cut the fog cover)
- Side cutters (to cut the cooling duct.)
- Screwdriver (to tighten the hose clams)

Installation:
- Remove the fog light cover by carefully prying/pulling (for FRSs without fog lights installed)
- Open the hood and start by feeding the hose down to the fog light area
- Reach up from the fog light hole, grab the hose, and work it down until you have enough slack to reach the opening without it retracting back
- Attach the mounting plate using a clamp
- Tilt the mounting plate to fit it in the hole and zip tie it to the two fog light screw holes
- Use the utility knife to carefully cut out the backing of the fog cover
- Pop the fog light cover back on

I'm still working on some cleanup and the best way of securing the hose up top. Right now I have it zip-tied in place but it's not secure enough. As soon as I figure that out I'll update this post with directions and pictures up top.

So jelly. But I like my fog-lamps.

Does anyone know the progress of the May batch? Is it going to be released on schedule?

I have a second dump pack that I ordered by accident still in the shipping box - I'll give you a deal if you want 'em.

I was able to get my second dump pack exchanged for the two batteries that the .5 dump conversion kit needs. Picked up four of these for myself and @DAEMANO, so I didn't end up with any store credit left after the exchange.

I made my purchase back in February. So it was rather nice of atbatt to agree to the exchange, since I was waaay past the 30 day return policy.
