Hate to resurrect an old thread, but I'm having the same issue with paint staining a bright yellow color.

Is this what you guys are running into?

I've never run into this issue before. My car is sealed and waxed, but the stain still remains after hitting it with quick detailer.

Any ideas?

try some all purpose cleaner. I use optimum power clean
I've gotten sap off with that before. spray it on and let it sit for a minute or so and you'll see the sap run off

Get those all the time. Pretty sure it's bug shit. Cleaner wax takes most of it off, if not completely. Keep the car waxed.

I went to Daytona and came home late. I saw a huge yellow moth(?) hit my car but when I checked it, i didn't see anything. Well, when I went to wash the bugs off, i saw it had hit the chin scoop and bumper. Now, it is stained yellow. I also noticed a yellow drop of some sort from a tree(?) and that stained as well.

Now, I walked by my car while parked and saw an orangeish drop of some sort. I carefully scrapped it off with my nail and it too has left a stain. I"M DIEING HERE!! Detailing my car is one of my most favorate meditations and it will erk me if I see these spots grow in numbers.

My white camaro didn't have the staining issue. It would actually have stuff I could feel and I just clay bared it. It never had stains like my BRZ.
Get used to it Subaru paint is probably the worst oem paint out there.

Paint doesn't fully cute in an oven the solvents still need to breath for some time.

It's not the paint it's the clear coat. They use a water based base coat and a water based clear.

Any recommendations on a cleaner wax? Or just whatever is cheap/on sale?

I currently have Detailer’s Poli-Coat Paint Sealant topped with Collinite 845 and it still seems to be stained even though the "chunks" came off super easy.

I've also heard that the yellow stains will fade over time with exposure to sunlight...

Any kind at an autoparts store, I got the meguiars in the red bottle. Try by hand with a microfiber pad, if that fails you'll prob have to use a more aggressive compound, and look into getting it polished out.

I think you'll get to a point where you'll just forget about them though, from what I experienced it doesn't etch the paint. Just keep the car waxed.

I haven't tried opticoat but I have recently applied Sonax Polymer Shield. It is amazing! Stains come off really easy and water/dirt just bead off. I can actually dry my car with a leaf blower or air compressor.
