So i did have to get the Metra 10mm spacers for either side. My car came with the OEM sound package with the subwoofer and a rear cam. You will need some adapters for going from Toyota stuff to aftermarket, including an adapter that you can get for $10 on Amazon with free shipping to use the dash USB which allows for quick charge and best Android Auto connection.

I'm totally glad to give up 20mm to spacers instead of buttons and a disc slot that reduce the total screen size. The audio output is insanely better than that stock unit and I'm certain it's because the the speakers are being powered properly. I can also separately control the subwoofer which makes it so the onboard speakers don't have to try to produce sounds that they can't. I'm working on setting the sound and if any of you are good with car audio I would love your advice.

The Android Auto experience is great, but I'm still learning it. Google Maps integration is perfect, though you have to remember to turn location on before plugging in your phone. I frequently forget that. I also have an MLB subscription through T-Mobile, so it comes up in the listening options which has actually reminded me to catch games.

The Sirius UI is also much nicer on this unit. With the stock receiver I always felt it was hard to find channels without scrolling forever. I haven't gotten to all the menus but finding stations for my presets went far quicker.

I bought the unit because for its price range it had the most reviews where the complaints were mainly wishlists that people said they'd probably get if they were willing to invest more. I wish they offered an American version of the DDX916WS because I would have spent the extra, but I'm very pleased.

I took the HKS exhaust off, painted the OEM muffler and tips with matt black high temp paint and put the OEM back on. With no real gains from the exhaust other than sound, its nice to have a quiet cabin again.

2017.05.19: Took the BRZ to a local tint shop (Utah Window Tint) to go as low as Utah legal limits allow. Legal is 43%/Any%/Any%, so I did 50%/5%/5% + 5% AS1 sun strip on windshield. 3M Color Stable all around. Comparison photos:

$367.56 out the door after tax. Pricey compared to other places I got quotes from, but they did a fantastic job so I don't regret it.

This car just keeps taking my money lol.

Over Memorial Day weekend I added a few more tidbits to the interior. Also have the FT86SF/Velox Motorsports non aggressive rear diffuser coming in any day now.

IRP Black/Red reverse button short shifter

STI Door Sill Plates

STI Leather holster

Trunk strap that some of the guys here have been getting off Amazon lately.

OEM Aero Underpanels

Installed a gently used Berk HFC front pipe today. Had to have a few hairline cracks welded up, right where the bracket is welded to the side of the pipe, apparently this is a common place for them to crack.
Fit was a little close to the trans tunnel, had to get creative to give it some breathing room, and by creative I mean I used a BFH.
Jury is still out on the sound though. It's paired up with a Tomei UEL and Gruppe-S overpipe, the catback and mid-pipe are stock. I don't like loud and I don't like raspy and this added a little bit of each. I guess I'll just have to give it some time.

Tachometer face swap. I just wish BRZ's tachometer would have the same amount of led diodes as FR-S. Note how the RPM number digits, specifically, 3 & 6 has a darker tone due to lack of leds in those areas. Overall I'm pleased!
