That's true with roots blowers, but not with twin screw superchargers. They're compressors that rival turbochargers for efficiency, but they take more power to turn than a roots blower does, typically.

@KraftWerks are you seeing that 12-15hp on NA or boosted or both?
The recent dyno reference from Vit Tuned was N/A which it picked up about 15whp and 12-15tq. Should see a bit more in terms of gains from F/I.

Hey guys,

I'm looking to get this kit very soon but wanted to get all the supporting mods done before I install the kit. Is a 3in exhaust needed or will headers, 2.5in over pipe, 2.5in front pipe and 2.5in catback do? Looking to run the c38 at approximately 300whp on e85.

Thanks in advanced

C30 kit may save you some $$ for that goal.

And have a better powerband. There's no reason whatsoever to step up to a C38 if all you want is 300whp on E85.

you wont necessarily need a 3" exhaust. i would also look into bigger injectors if you plan on running e85 with the c38. with the right mods and tune you can get 300 on pump with the c38

Not sure about the powerband claim, but if 300 is your goal on E85 then a C30 will more then do that. my C38 on E85 is 417. We recommend a C30 for most applications. Only those chasing the high HP numbers do we mention a C38. I believe a few pages back someone was at 360-380whp on a C30 on E85. A built engine is where this C38 would really shine..

I'm getting a vibration at about 1500 rpm. It's only under a load such as taking off or a/c and cold idle. It sounds to be coming from the supercharger/drive belt area. I've checked pulley tight bolt tightness, belt tension and every bolt imaginable. Any ideas?

Mine does this too. Haven't been able to figure it out. Thought it was my clutch for a while. Goes away when the car is warmed up.

Same here only when cold, 1500 or so very light throttle for me, like when I'm cruising through my neighborhood in the morning leaving for work. belt adjustment hasn't affected it at all, so i had the belt off, still did it. I've check all the bolts. everything it torqued properly, i just figured its the plate vibrating/resonating at that rpm when cold.. its only a few minutes and just barely noticeable on mine, so it doesn't bother me, something i haven't even thought of after i tried to locate the problem

Glad I'm not the only one. I was really worried it was my clutch chattering or the blower was fussy when cold. Your testing proves otherwise.
