So there's a nutsert in the strut tower that I didn't think would rub. I was wrong.
The hole wasn't really fixable so now I have to buy a replacement strut (if they even sell them!) So for now I've had to cut a standard spring and re-install it. Looks like crap as I'll need camber bolts to tck the wheels. Funny thing is though, I've only put one of the oem coils back on but the ride quality has improved out of sight! That was unexpected.. |

Hey man, I really like your car. I just ordered my Airlift kit and I was wanting to run 18x9.5 with a +20 offset. I know you have 18x9.75 +20, but how much are your fenders rolled and pulled?

Thanks man! There's a few things you'll have to do to tuck and get a decent ride without rubbing/scrubbing. The front fitment isn't too bad, it pokes a little but with max camber it's ok. You will have to do something about the inside of the strut tower though, the bag rubs on it with max camber. I ripped a hole in one of mine from rubbing so I removed all the clips, nuts etc. and used a hammer to knock a little crater for the bag to sit in (not really noticeable from the engine bay side unless your building a show car) it doesn't rub at all now at driving height. It does rub a little when fully aired up but it doesn't hurt as long as it doesn't rub on anything sharp. The rears I rolled and pulled a little but for a decent ride you need LCA's. Natural camber isn't quite enough and in order to stop the wheels from scrubbing the fenders on every bump you need to run high psi which makes the ride really harsh lol. LCA's will give you a little more camber and allow you to run lower psi for a nice smooth ride with no scrub. A new set of sway bars are highly recommended too
