Good Deal

Can Any one see this being a good deal? Good Vibe or Bad Vibe

https://gasuprememotors.com/2014-Sci...3/Details.aspx

One thing I noticed the Fog Lights appear to be missing. Im not sure man, It's in my budget and I just love the 86 Platform so much. Im so torn on what to do.

Seems suspicious to me, it is a good deal for that mileage. I would guess it is a vehicle that has been heavily modified. Also in the description it mentioned well maintained and very clean multiple times which is troubling.

So right off the bad I see the custom emblems, painted stock wheels, and painted stock tails which tells me this was modded on a budget, I can't tell what aftermarket exhaust that is but it is not stock, and looks cheap. I would stay away, it looks like an owner who was very into modding things on the cheap. I'm not 100% certain but it looks lower than stock height, the fog lights look to have been removed for some reason.

My advice is better to look for a more stock 13-15 manual around the 60k-80k mileage for around 14k-16k from a dealer that doesn't come off as shady.

Some deals are too good to be true and this one I get bad vibes from. That is at least my take.

It is worth a look in person. If it ends up as described as above it can go either way. I would guess the wheels/emblem are done with plasti-dip, which when applied properly can be removed in minutes.

The Tail lights either look tinted via film, or it could be VHT. That can also be removed with something like goof off, then polished back to factory finish.

I would hard pass.. as others mentioned plastic dip/ painted stock wheels, dropped on springs, tinted tails and a cheapish looking exhaust. I paid 14k for my 2013 series 10 MT with 58k miles. Just to give you an idea on price.

Auto with a some kind of exhaust, rebadged, I'll pay no more than $10k.
Hard pass if you can't get that under $10k.

If it's in your budget and not inconvenient, I'd at least check it out. Heck, ask 'em if you can take it to the nearest Toyota dealer for a quick inspection. Their answer to that perfectly acceptable question will be the biggest indicator. If they say no, then walk away regardless.

All the mods have two explanations: one, it's done on the cheap (in which case it should be pretty evident in person), or two, it was put back as close to stock as possible before they sold it (for example, maybe they plasti-dipped their wheels years ago, and then had different wheels for most of their ownership). The lowering might be cut springs, or it could be coil overs that the previous owner didn't feel like changing back.

The empty fog light housings could be something like the Arrows Front Brake Duct kit (though I'd think you should be able to see the hose behind it, and it really does look empty).

Anyway, worth an eyeball if it's really what you want otherwise.

Whys it got prova fender vents.... and ironman tires....

That's a unique vehicle. Inspect it heavily, or find something not so questionable.
