Exactly what I was thinking. -.- I mean you have a damn firewall separating the interior from the engine. Not to mention the... Hmm I just realized as I was typing this, the intake pipe that goes into the cabin could be a route, but that's on the passenger side right? Don't think it could have gone through there.

I am a Toyota technician and this just sounds strange. What dealership did you go to. The only thing I can think of is the steering shaft breaking loose and jamming into the side of the engine block on a bump but you would loose control of the whole car.
