calling all big dudes!

Hey guys I searched the forums but didn't see much specifically on seat width.. apologize if this is somewhere else already..

I was just curious if anyone else was having issues with the seats being too narrow? I fit, but I can definitely feel the bolstered seat hitting my shoulders and it gets uncomfortable after a period of time... wondering if anyone has recommendations as to anything I could do to fix this.. I was looking into some sparco or recaro seats but wasn't sure if those would be any better... let me know your 2 cents! Thanks!

is it because your too tall or too fat?

I have read quite a few threads with people saying that the seat fits great even they are 6'3 or 6'4.

If you're just fat then just lose some weight. Instead of driving, maybe considering walking for the first 6 months.

I'm 6'2 220 and I fit pretty well. The bottom of the seat feels narrower than the back.

I'm stupid barrel-chested though I have narrow hips and waists (buying shirts suck for me...), and I fit just fine. I think if I had fat kaboose, then I might have problems lol, but the bolsters hold extra-wide shoulders and chests just fine IMO.

6' 3.5" 200lbs w 36" waist here. I fit snug, but comfortable in the seat. Doing AutoX with a helmet on is a _very_ tight fit against the ceiling.

I'm 6'6" and about 300lbs. I have little drama, though I am right at the comfortable limit. I too have broad shoulders and do notice it hugging but don't find it gets too unbearable.

Besides, if you are getting uncomfortable after being in the seat for long periods of time, it is usually a good time to get out and stretch your legs. Allows you to admire your car whilst you do so!

EDIT: Yet to try sitting in it with a helmet on. It might be a very close call!

I had this problem at 6'2 250. Got it custom uphosltered, they took off an inch off the side bolsters and replaced it with memory foam and added lumbar support. Perfect now.

About $250ish custom fit. Worth it! Now I can do long drives in comfort vs 20 minutes in pain.

Geez what an ass****

I'm 5'11 and 240 and have some wide shoulders. To tell you the truth I was uncomfortable the first month but then it felt like the seats molded with my body and now I am comfortable

lol, yea i can be an ass sometime...

i just made an assumption that when an American says "calling all big guys", i assume they're calling big guys with fat, not muscle. In this case the OP is big guy with muscle.
