Hwy 35 was good yesterday. They still have Hwy 9 closed between Felton and Santa Cruz.

Went up Hwy 9 from Saratoga on 03/18/2017 Saturday night. Couple of stop lights and one lane action between Saratoga and four corners, but most of the crap was cleared off the roadway. Skyline was beautiful with no issues, till I went down Woodside, which had traffic and a bunch of construction. 1 lane with stop lights as well. Road was clear of debris.

Palomares is open again!

There is one part where it's down to one lane and a stop sign due to damage, though. So be careful around there. The road is clear, but you'll be able to definitely tell where there were some pretty massive landslides.

Anyway, it's open all the way through. Hopefully y'all won't get stuck behind a Jeep Wrangler pulling a trailer like I did.

Just heard Redwood road now has an issue.

"FYI Per Alameda County Public Works:

Redwood Road, Castro Valley, is CLOSED to all traffic at marker 7.38 due to roadway failure. This closure blocks all access between Castro Valley and Oakland.
Motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes.

Guests accessing the East Bay Regional Park District’s Lake Chabot campground facilities need to enter from the Oakland side of Redwood Road.

For additional updates, please visit www.acpwa.org"

Welp, that didn't last long.

Palomares is closed again. Drove by it on the North side, and it was blocked off. I don't know what the deal is. This road always seems to have issues. Glad I got to do it at least once recently.

There was a post about this in the drive thread. It was closed to clean up a landslide. My guess is that they closed it at the point where it had previously been down to one lane.

I'm guessing that most of the good roads around the bay are a complete mess after last night.
