If you haven't changed the stock intake do it!

So forewarning: this is my personal opinion, not the end all be all.

Anyways so I got my FRS a few weeks ago. First thing I did was gun it, obviously, and to be honest I really didn't like the sound it was making. Threw in a KN dropin filter, still weak. Did the snorkel mod and plugged the noise generator from the inside, and it sounded a little worse now to be honest. Finally got myself a mishimoto induction hose last week, just put it in. Has a little cover for the outside of the noise generator as well, and gets rid of a resonator on the stock induction hose. Way better!! The car has a deeper sound now, and the fake sound it had before is gone. That sound was just terrible, and I love the way the car sounds now. The rest of it is stock, but honestly I think any beginner should do these mods. The snorkel may not be needed, but I love what I have now, next step is headers for the rumble and an exhaust to make it louder!

Noob......lol
If you researched, you would know, an inlet tube with an aftermarket air filter and after market snorkel is the best bang for your buck for intake wise.

He's obviously more concerned about sound than performance.

I did do the research. Even looked at those Dyno charts from GrimnSpeed I think it was. I was just happy with my results. Does that not go over well here?

Or OP made IMO a thread that has a title that makes it seem like there's some sort of relevant useful info in here.

I'd even go as far as to call the title click bait.

He did some mods that have been extensively posted about in other threads and brought nothing new to the table.

It's like someone making a thread where they're like "OMG Did you know our car was RWD!!!!"

I loved my aftermarket intake noise too when I accelerated, and the fact that it cleaned up the look of my engine bay. But it's not for everyone, I think most people like their stock intake and just modified the exhaust for sound.

Hey, hey folks! Don't burn him. Remember MikeBRZ (or whatever his name was)? Claiming 220 whp from a "custom" intake. At least @vladniko86 is giving his opinion.

And nearly claiming that we should have the same opinion...

Bad presentation of an opinion. Reads like click bait. I clicked for the popcorn fodder. Did not disappoint, though it's weak...

Hello vladniko86, glad you are happy with your intake mod -

It appears you bumped the cages of a few of our forum wolves -

For future reference, you may consider putting posts like that under "What you did to your FR-S today".
