I don't' think it will work. Features that are "customizable" by the dealer are explained in the manual, and this is not one of it.

While at the dealer, some lady locked herself out of her Prius. Some auto locking feature while the key is in the ignition more than a few min. I always worry about this at the car wash. Our cars don't do this right?

I wish it would autolock, but I wish as much, maybe more that it would unlock when I pull on the handle. It is very easy to get accustomed to this feature. My stick shift Hyundai Sonata auto locks and then unlocks when I pull the handle as I prefer.
