If I remember correctly they said something along the lines of this.. They carry the Agency Power items to be able to make comparisons of a well designed product to a bad one like Agency Power if its brought up by a customer and if they have questions. Someone who made a comment just like you in a thread and thats what I remember them saying or something close to that.

This is a smart move on their part by carrying a variety of items. Just because they carry something doesnt mean they have to use it on there car. Lots of business's have things they wouldnt use that are for sale. They could outright lie and say they would use it on there car but they atleast tell the truth. Like a quick lube shop they sell crap recycled oil but do you honestly think the employees or owner would put that crap in there car? No. They have it for customers who cant afford the better product.
That is fine with me if that is what they want to do. Other vendors don't feel the same way about business. If Speedfactory has seen the mounts in peson and wouldn't install them on their own car, then I would hope they would let us know why so that the members of this site can be informed and not purchase the product. I am willing to be a guinea pig, but not if the data already exists.

It may be as simple as they already have mounts installed on all the shop cars and don't want to go to the trouble of doing it again.

Respectfully, I completely disagree with this. Grade 5 vs 8 fasteners, mild cold rolled vs high tensile steel, paint vs powder coat, cast vs machined aluminum, can all effect the longevity of the parts.

As for the durometer, I've seen companies sell street and race motor mounts, IIRC they were 60 and 80 respectively. Both sold because there was enough of a difference to warrant the different applications.

Doh.. I could have swore I looked at these before and they were just poly inserts. What you said.

Megan Racing mounts utilizes hardened rubber, which is rated at 70A on the Durometer scale

Although we haven't used these on our car, we have used the Nissan 240SX / 350Z / S2000 etc...
They are noticeably firmer then stock soft rubber, which in the 240sx you can move front to back, side to side with one hand.
Most customers that purchase these want something other then solid mounts, but still firmer then stock without breaking the bank.

Longevity wise, on the FR-S we do not have first hand experience.

On the other cars we have used these on, we have not experienced any premature failures.

Sorry if it does not belong here but could we install "Perrin Transmission Support Mount" & any of the "Transmission mount inserts" out there together?

I realize that this is old, but it seems like the most talk Megan's mounts have gotten that I've found. Did anyone go with them and have any input? Interested in the trans mount mostly. I had a Megan front engine mount in an Evo that I was very happy with. That particular mount in an Evo got rid of a good bit of off/on throttle rocking that I'm sensitive to without adding too much NVH. I just put a trans mount insert in my BRZ and while I feel the off/on throttle is better, I'm not sure I like the extra NVH. Gonna give it 500-1k mi to see for sure. Might try the Megan mount if I'm not happy after a while.

I had their trans mount in my SC300 and it helped the car a ton. I wouldn't be afraid to use their mounts again if it came down to it.

Any update on this Megan Trans Mount?
Looks like this is the only thread that mentions it.

I am debating whether it's worth getting the Megan Racing Reinforced Transmission Mount or just do the Whiteline insert.
I don't mind the extra work installing the full mount if it's a better product.
