Full throttle Electric Supercharger Build Thread

I know I've had this thing for a few weeks now, but I'm always reminded that the positives drag reduction brings to the table are absolutely amazing. The car feels SO responsive for a boosted engine. I just wanted to publicly give some credit to Rob for thinking of that ultra innovative solution to a restriction after the airbox.

aux charger is a separate piece in addition the controller, yes?
I have both, and I think the 1.5 kit/addition is a no brainer - everyone should get it. The aux charger is relatively expensive because it's a lot of expensive electronics but if you find yourself waiting for the system to charge up, get it. I personally never found myself waiting for the unit even with the single charger, but the double is twice as fast, obviously. It's an easy thing to buy and add later if you want.

Iif you're expecting the same top end gains then yes...if you just want a car with gobs of low end torque that's a blast to drive then then absolutely not

If all you are talking about is power, then I think it comes down to how and where you drive. If when having "fun" you spend more time between 5k-7k rpm, then between 3k-5k rpm you might want to go with the Jackson(or vortech since it is currently supported by shiv and the OFT). If typically during your cruse you just want to hammer it and fly around some guy having a picnic in the fast lane, I would think the ESC would be a better choice. If you want to track it, or like strait line power go with the Jackson. If when driving home from (?) you like to dive into your favorite corner, and power out the other side without having to downshift/rev match it to over 9000 (what 9000) then maybe go with the Phantom. If you think you may grow tired or have grown tired of a cars power in the past, then maybe Jackson, as you can always change pulleys for more boost, while the Phantom doesn't yet have an outlined upgrade path.

It is really all the other factors, that make the Phantom a contender imo.

High rpm power: Traditional
Low rpm torque: ESC
Extended use periods: Traditional
Price: ESC
Installation time/expense: ESC
Car Warranty: ESC
Maintenance: ESC

I think someone else has said it, but if you start out first with the Phantom and don't like it, It won't take much time, to remove and resell it, and with only minimal loss. If you don't like the traditional supercharger, you will spend much more time and be out more money either removing/selling it, or upgrading it(and the rest of the car), to get it to a power level you are happy with.

If you still can't decide, then post the details of how you drive and someone with a similar disposition can chime in with their own experiences.

They are really very different. The biggest factor is price and performance you are looking for.

The ESC has phenomenal bottom end power and is less than half the cost...maybe even 1/3 the cost if you have to pay for installation.

The other sc will give you more top end power but will cost a lot more especially if you need to pay for tuning.

I have nothing against other forms of FI but for the entry level bang for buck fun nothing compares to the ESC.

If you have 6 or 7k burning a hole in your pocket look at traditional FI.

Dead on, ESC significantly increases power for the day to day driving, no need to stay in high rpm, no need to down shift, can power out of a corner in 4th gear @ 2500rpm.
