I am not talking about much slower, maybe .25 seconds. Just an initial pulse on engagement, then a very short pause for the ecu to adjust then the compressor back on full.. because maybe if I am crusing along at 40mph in 6th, I want to be able to punch it to block some guy who is trying to cut me off, without having to race him, or downshift.

The ecu does a fine job of compensating quickly....shiv just needs to get the tune dialed in so it doesn't spike lean as much.... There is some sort of transition at 3000 rpm that is taking to long to richen from. If you look at my datalogs mine spikes just a bit but then its super rich...things probably need to just be dialed in or I need a custom tune at my altitude. |

The reason it stalls is the throttle is closed and it is forced air for which it has no compensation for at 700rpm. There is no such thing as adding boost at idle so the computer doesn't know what to do with it. The reason for no blow up is the compressor brakes very fast. As soon as you let off the throttle it stops the compressor and hence no more boost or no more pressure. You probably could add a bov if you really wanted too although that creates a lot of additions to the tune to make it run right. Then you essentially wouldn't have to run much of a brake at all. Again the key here would be to try and retain stock driveability which would not be a easy task. Glad you are asking questions. We are all here to help people understand the facts and are super glad when new people are interested |

The TQ250 is really damn good at the low RPM. The 300 im running wont hit those numbers but gets about .5 psi more above 6500. Your AFR's do look better than mine as well. Did you end up going to Toma's dyno day? We should go for a cruise soon. |

What altitude are you guys at? I'm way up around 4200ft, so I sadly don't get quite that much boost

Full throttle Electric Supercharger Build Thread
I wonder if I have something misconfigured. I'll have to double check logs, but I'm pretty sure I'm only hitting about 3.5psi. Is it possible my half pack isn't functioning correctly? What should my display be reading at full charge? It seems to be draining at a 1.5pack-like speed though...
And I was wrong, I'm at 4500 ft. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

With 1.5 you should see 4 psi at 3000 rpm.....altitude does play a role as well. The key is to really get the pack warmed up. My first boosts of the day are not as strong either.....just keep boosting and the packs will dump more efficiently. |

Alright I'm pretty confident that I'm in good shape then. Just took a run and I'm squeezing about 3.5-3.7psi in that range which I'll attribute to altitude and the fact I'm running a 1dump tune.
