You'd think if it was inspired by F1 or Indy then Honda would have given it SOME rear downforce.. or at least less lift than the HondaJet

I'll give you that the gauge cluster is modeled from it, but the rest is more in the spirit of the original S cars.

The top down aspect was one of my least favorite features of my S2000. Too hot here to use it most of the year IMO and requires a rollbar with most track event groups I was running with at the time. The lack of steering feel (it's precise but feel is lacking) was the second item. Powerband, trans, etc I loved. Basically it ended up sitting in my garage except for the 1 or 2 autocrosses a month. Kinda like the BRZ sits now except the BRZ sits for longer periods of time since I'm currently in my no-autocross phase.

I almost bought a very nice restored S600M from the original owner instead of the BRZ. Still regret not doing it some days.

I actually don't mind the s2k steering. I'd rather have precise steering with little feedback than something that has a mechanical rack with feedback but vague steering response (i.e. 05 STi). The BRZ has a little of both - precision & feedback.

From a performance standpoint, the only real advantage an S2k has over the BRZ is 40 more HP. Oh, and also engine reliability.

The BRZ seems to be better everywhere else.

Forged internals from the factory that can take you to 400-450hp+ on a supercharger/turbo reliably on the stock motor without having to open it up, double wishbone suspension & quick rotation to help navigate tight corners quickly, better feeling shifter, gearing...

Tis all true...you can't deny any of that...

However, the huge proliferation of douche s2k owners is a big downside

It was a mixed bag around Tampa when I had mine. 50% were really cool people, into autocross and track or just enjoying the cars. The other 50% were d bags who thought they owned God's gift to the automotive world.

Sideways probably knows that local S2K guys can run Indy stickers for free tickets to the SPGP race, hell I ran them for free tickets (well the car sat in the garage really but they were on the car..).. some guys run them all year round which always seemed hugely idiotic to me. It made me laugh when I'd see them though.

How do you S2000 owners haul track wheels to the track? Drive on them? Install a hitch?
@CSG David, @CSG Mike

Edit: Found this, LOL
