@SlinkyAvalanche

I've seen toyota emblems that are spot-on for shape with that odd T all over our cars, but the internet doesn't feature any good examples that I can find. The shape really is exact, though, it isn't a stylization.

This is close:

i definitely didn't know the fuel level tip. The short video was worth it for that alone, IMHO. I forgave the circus clown music.

Yes, "R" is reserve. Makes a lot more sense than E, because the tank isn't empty on E. The tC's fuel gauge has the "R" as well.
OT - Love the car in your sig - that blue with those wheels is a total win.

That's not the exhaust being pumped into the footwell. It's the intake. Unless that's why I feel really sleepy after I drive home from work......

I know that I once came across this thread discussing emblems and some member suggesting the ft86 chassis should have once exclusive to itself like the Hyundai Genesis....

THIS LOGO BELOW MY FRIENDS IS IT!!! It should be something based off this!

Color me green with envy. I had to sell my '05LGT when I brought home my BRZ. But 364 days a year, I'm happier -- only during Atlanta's SnowJam did I wish for a re-do.

It actually isn't molded after an exact emblem. It's just to signify the "T" shape for Toyota. There is a lot more about the 86 that people mind find interesting if they did not know any of these facts. I think I will compile a thread to list them all.

I think I learned about that roof thickness. Perhaps they could put some soundproofing in there. We have monsoon like rains here with drops the size of golf balls and its hard to hear the radio sometimes.

Well, no worse than a convertible I guess.

Shhh! Americans are not supposed to know about the reserve. That's there to keep us from running out of gas. If we know there's more in the tank after the E, we'll keep driving until the car quits and then say, "Huh. I thought I had more."

By the way, the roof ridges are not a new thing. The 2000GT that served as the design inspiration for this car had them:

And that triangular tail light is a nod to the 2000GT emblem:

Heritage!
