The left is the car color, the right is their "alternate color" for the white. It's a much closer alternate than some of the other colors they offer.

I've got a Cusco antenna on order. Here are @mechaghost's pics of it (not mine):

Only because I wanted the JDM antenna for its similar shortness til I realized it's it tilts/folds requiring a different base that won't support sat radio which the USDM base does.

I don't know about anyone else, but I hate the satellite antenna. I had an aftermarket satellite radio in my old 3 series, and that thing never dropped it's signal on the way to work (I drive through heavily wooded areas of I-5). Now this thing consistently drops signal in several spots, any time the South/South East has any serious tree obstruction.

I work with satcom at work, there is almost no reason for it to be dropping the signal as often as it is, I think it's mainly because they integrated it with the FM antenna or because the housing is poor. I really can't wait to try another option when it comes out, or I'm just going to drop satellite radio.

Have you had the TSB performed on your unit? They replace the antenna and housing. Mine has worked great since this was done.

Look in the radio section of the forums. I've tried several antennas and the FM reception is less than stellar with all the ones I tried. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...ht=White64Goat

Yup. Twist off, twist on the new one. Even the fins are easy. Just twist off stock, twist/screw on the connector for the fin, wipe down the area the fin will sit on with IPA, line it up the way you want and then peel and stick.

I actually used some blue painters tape to line up the fin with the center of the car, then mounted it as you mentioned. Took me all of 10 minutes.

I should have specified, I'm having a problem with the Sirius XM antenna, not the GPS antenna. Mine was produced after the fix. Or is there a TSB for the Sirius antenna too?

Mine was also produced after the problem was supposedly fixed. When I took it in for a service, I told the tech about my intermittent problems with reception etc. when they checked it, they discovered that the upgrade had NOT been performed on my car even though the vin# was after the problem range. Subaru authorized the fix and since then everything works perfect.
