I told them that but they still want to drive it.

Well just make sure it's audible when you bring it there, have them drive it but it's only noticeable at idle tell them.

Brought it in this morning. Thankfully a forum friend was behind the desk and knows all about the crickets. We talked about the TSB and they will order the new fuel pump for me. They'll swap it for me when it comes in!

It was chirping right? Not just the normal clicking? Not sure where you are but I would be surprised if anyplace in Canada is warm enough for it to chirp yet.

I don't think it was the guy at the dealership that was incomptetent. This recall is very well known, and the "fix" is also, but it never gets fixed. Why? I'm not 100% sure, it's just the way the fuel system is. Crickets have been a topic since this car's release, so if someone fixed it, we would know about it. I don't know why everyone still goes in for this "recall", nothing has changed, the only positive out of it is getting a new fuel pump.

Have you not read all the previous posts in this thread? I think literally every person who has gotten the newest fuel pump no longer reports crickets.

It's been well into the mid 80s almost touching 90 now and over 6 weeks with still no chirping on the new pump here in Florida.

Since your temps in Florida are that high your reports are invaluable to this thread! Thanks!! Will you be able to try fuel with over 10% Ethanol?

That's the only thing I use, Chevron 93 with 10% ethanol the entire time I've owned the car.
