Hi there, I understand this is the latest version of the turbo kit engineered by Ptuning and I have few question about it, is it possible to use this kit with UEL headers? But most importantly is it compatible with RHD vehicles and if so who would be the best dealer and tuner in UK to provide and install the kit? Thanks in advance for helping...

read the OP, it states you can use original headers if you want, insto facto, any aftermarket header designed for the non turbo 86 will work for turbo. uel headers however will have a slower spooling turbo . . as far as rhd, I don't think this kit will work.

Hi @Joe's86 thanks a lot for your reply; the fact that you can use after market headers doesn't mean you can necessarily use UEL for my understanding though, it depends a lot by the turbine position, the turbine type and other factors for what I read so far, hence my question. Happy to be wrong though especially in regards to this kit which seems to be amazing, better than anything else I read about so far. As per RHD I was curious since Ptuning said about 3 years ago they were looking into providing a similar kit for RHD.

Yes you can use UEL, and it sounds sexy AF . See this post: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...80#post2625980

No, it is not compatible with RHD as-is today. I'm not sure if PTuning is or is not developing RHD compatible turbo kit.

Good news on the UEL! as per the RHD I was hoping that this intro of their post from 3 years:
Quote:
We're now shipping our Spec-SS Turbo System. Please note that this will only fit US-Spec and other LHD manual transmission FR-S/BRZ/GT86's. We may develop a separate system for RHD models later on down the road
Could have become reality by now... hopefully someone from Ptuning will be able to answer soon and advise.

No we do not have a RHD kit available. We still have yet to have a RHD 86 in house. It would be difficult to develop it without one.

I suspected that. It's a bit of a shame because for what I saw so far your kit is definitely one of, if not the best out there hands down, and I am sure that both UK where the is little to none available quality kits and Australia pretty much on the same footpath would be very thankful. I guess we will have to wait for a kind donor willing to gift one :-)

Thank you. We take a lot of pride in our products.

Now if you're willing to ship over your 86, we can get working on a RHD kit for ya

That's a bit of a crazy idea... I wouldn't even know where to look at to get a shipping quote

Well, never say never... although it might be cheaper to just get a LHD... actually not because of all the conversion upgrades required by law

I know they have been having several RHD requests. If you entertain the idea maybe a good way to have both parties benefit!
