Wouldn't call it dead, but fabrication is way behind on it. Looking to revamp that department in 2017.

Our race car has only been out 3 times this year? So, not much testing on it unfortunately.

86 Fog Light Install

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLSZA2VN1VY&feature=gp-n-y&google_comment_id=z12oivkgxteue30q104ciljjeujcun o4myc0k"]FT86SpeedFactory - 2017 Toyota 86 Fog Light install - YouTube[/ame]

At the time of this post, it will be very rare, if not impossible to find an 86 with fog lights in the US. Ours may very well be the first 2017 86 in the US with OEM fog lights.

It’s nearly impossible to find them on cars today, because the US market doesn’t get a fog light option. That’s why we put together our own kit using Toyota’s fog light bezels from Japan.

We’re not quite sure why the US missed out on this option, but it wasn’t very difficult to install, since every 86 already comes with the necessary harness to plug into. The most difficult part of the process was splicing in two wires for the ON/OFF switch and drilling a 20mm hole to mount the switch next to the trunk release button. Which was a very simple task and is something you could easily accomplish during your lunch break.

The fog light bezels retain the same aggressive canard design as before, and the lights are LED just like the headlights, so the color temperatures matches perfectly. However if you want to create a distinctive look, you could add Lamin-X covers to tint it Amber, Yellow, Blue, Green, Smoke, and even Pink.

Adding OEM fog lights to an 86 couldn’t be easier and the entire process shouldn’t take more than a couple hours. When it’s all said and done, no one will ever know your car didn’t come like this from the factory. Unless of course they read this post.

Magna F-Sport Style Gauge Cluster Face

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SzcI2piuojs"]FT86SpeedFactory - Magna Cluster Face Install - YouTube[/ame]

We recently installed the new Magna F-Sport Style gauge cluster face and were blown away with how much better it looks. Our eyes have been so accustomed to the stock instrument gauges, that it actually took us by surprise when we saw how much brighter, and less cluttered the new Magna gauges were.

These gauges are styled after Lexus’ own F-Sport line, and it gives the instruments a more refined look that we’d exact from a Lexus. But other than the superior appearance, there are a few small detail changes.
  • The fuel gauge no longer has the “Full” symbol, but in it’s place is a “1/1” fraction.
  • The temp gauge has specific temperature readouts in celsius instead of the generic Hot and Cold symbols.
  • The tachometer uses a less aggressive font and has a blue tick mark for every number across the rev band.
  • The speedometer has Mph marked in red, surrounded by Kph marked in white.

The tail lights will work on older models but the headlights don't swap over because they use a different wiring up front.

I'm confused about the fog lights; they are(were, when I bought mine at least...) listed on Toyota's website as a factory option. Are you saying they just haven't actually put any on the ground in the US, or that they know longer intend to offer them in this market?

Is the suede 17+ dash backwards compatible? Would be an awesome part to offer for sale since you don't carry the JPM dashes anymore

Same here. I guess they mean the ones on the dealer lots don't have them (unless built and ordered by the customer).
