for those wondering how capable the motor is, here's link to the Impreza STI NA concept

^that motor is supposedly up to about 200hp and about 140+lbs/ft of tq... with DI i would expect it to be even more powerful than that and more fuel efficient

Yep that motor is very capable. Wouldn't be surprised to see it break 200hp. what is the redline on that engine?

Id be happy with 200hp, but more importantly Id like to see close to 200lbs of torque. Hopefully with Toyota's D4-S direct injection technology those numbers might just happen.

I thought those engines were more balanced in terms of torque and power output -- I hope they can get more torque for the FT-86...

that s2000 animation is way off, the length of the two cars is only 1-2"'s apart, that looks more like half a foot
