Same window glass used in FR-S, BRZ or 86?

Car got broken into, passenger side window glass was broken. Autocross helmet and tire air pressure gauge stolen. The movable window was broken, not the small one.

Insurance company sent window repair service that only had non-OEM glass and did not look the same (thinner and less tint).

My car is a 2016 Black FR-S and there is a slight tint on the windows from factory. I believe this tint is on all models and colors but would like to confirm.

Can anyone confirm all BRZ, FR-S / 86 windows are the same from factory?

Anyone knows best place to buy replacement movable windows? Need passenger side.

Are there equivalent non-OEM alternatives (same tint, glass thickness, etc)? Maybe glass supplier sells direct.

Yeah there is definitely an anti UV coating on the factory glass, you are right to be wary of aftermarket. Check junkyards, ebay, pick n pull etc.

Well, that's a shame your car was broken into -

Lesson learned?

As far as OEM replacement glass, I would think almost any auto glass replacement company could fix you up. I suggest you call around.

BRZ glass is heavier because it has more sound deadening.

It's glass bro. Your overthinking a simple fix.
Only thing you have to think about is how much you want to spend. If insurance is being used let them preplace it with oem.
If you are paying out if your own wallet any cheap replacement will do the same exact job.

I don't believe that's you only because I've never heard a 'back in the day' story from anyone that looks close to that.

You know they can now shape the fat to look like abs.

That makes sense. Isn't this forum about overthinking everything about these cars?

Oh, that's not a bullet, that's a crocodile tooth. When I was down in Panama, a croc tried to bite me, so, I pried its mouth open, broke its jaw and bashed that tooth out …. with my bare hands ….
