Edit: looks like first deliveries will be in july.
Take it to the drags, dyno results are not really reliable.

Hell, here in AU the posted results in US for typical mods on typical fuel running typical tuning solutions can have around 40hp discrepancy.

1/4 mile and trap don't lie.

Same same for local race tracks, driven by pro drivers (not press with agendas or "gifts" in their pocket or owners with rose coloured glasses).

Shit should be getting real IRT their stock performance shortly.

I wonder who is going to modify them straight off the floor, strip and cage race car, or build and boost?

APR?

Exciting isn't it....

I plan on going to Mooresville too, but I'm gonna wait a week or so after, make sure engine is broken in before doing that.

I think Toyota has shifted its major focus onto Lexus so that's where the bulk of their efforts and resources are being spent. Lexus has to be something that is 100% their own in order for it to have something to show for historically in the future.

Since the Toyota brand is already well established this frees it up for broad experimentation, including such sports car collaborations.

Sometimes I wonder whether the new Supra would look a little better even with this short wheelbase if they were to move the cockpit back a tad more like the original 2000GT or the first M Coupe (i.e. have the hatch slant all the way to the rear end).

Kids these days, back in my day.....na, kids are still the same as they were back then, your just not allowed to "discipline" them like you could before.

I blame society going soft, oh, and the internet, and video games, and how everyone wins a prize, even the losers.

At least I still have my manual transmission.

So it looks like walnut blasting service is still a thing with these newer BMW engines as they do not utilize port injection in addition to direct injection. Not like Toyota is ready to spill its engine technology to ze Germans other than the hybrid.

It's no longer necessary. They mostly fixed the carbon buildup issues with the N55 by adding variable lift to the valvetrain (valvetronic). They essentially reduce the lift at idle so that the valve only lifts a tiny bit, forcing the air to squeeze by at much higher speed than normal. This blows most of the carbon off. My N54 needed cleaning every 30k. My N55 is sitting at 85k and the valves look fine (checked 6mo ago, never had a valve cleaning). Some cars still get it because different use cases I guess, but my mechanic told me he's never seen an N55/B58 that needed it, and he does about one N54 a month.

True. Opinions are opinions. What I meant was people that are not trying to get clicks for their "news" site, are not concerned with potential advertisers or have any other possible ulterior motive to review it one way or the other.
