Love being around people that know this much about cars. Get to learn a lot. Thanks for that.

I actually am against the tires. If I lived in a world free of cops and other drivers then I would love it. But I have seen somebody do this in a Corvette at low speeds and got busted. I much prefer to go around a corner more neutral and precise.

You are power-sliding, you are grinning like an ape and you are doing about 13mph. Which means that if you do make a mess of it and you’re heading for a tree, you can open the door and get out.
best part in that whole article.

you live in a world that the gas pedal is not an on/off switch and you can go around a corner on stock tires with out having the rear slide.. if your following the posted speed limits and not being aggressive with the throttle and driving it sanely on public roads then there is nothing wrong with these tires.. i can probably bet my car that the driver of the corvette wasn't driving properly on a public road

Put fat ass tires on it until it will only plow into corners and won't let you adjust balance with the throttle. Maybe a FF would better befit your concept of "neutral and precise." If anything these tires could handle even a tad bit more power.

Totally agree. Especially the "bold" part. But it will not plow into corners with high performance tires. It will still have sweet corner entry, but the ability to adjust balance with throttle would be "dumbed down"...

I made a tire thread that is kinda related to the subject here.

The car featured right before the GT86 review needs to be watched also because it's the perfect segue-way/intro to the GT86 sequence.
