Best Brisbane Toyota Dealer

I've decided it's time to stop lurking and go talk to someone tomorrow, but being a new car nub I have no idea which are the go-to dealers and if there are any to avoid. I live near Sci Fleet Taringa and have been planning to go in there but if anyone has any inside words about any of the others, I'd like to hear about them.

Your best bet is NOT to go to one we have place pre order for obvious stock reason, unless you are happy to wait.

it is unlikely there will be any discount but i'll try to ask them to throw in some mats and or tint.

remember to have your "get out" clause written down on the contract. such as subject to satisfactory final pricing and spec. i'd also include a subject to finance clause in as a back up escape clause.

Good idea. I might just go into the local one and see what they say. It would be nice to deal with them and be able to just nip around the corner if I have any problems.

Yeah build a relationship with them if they are decent. they might look after you better with servicing and parts etc.

Talk to Phillip at Sci Fleet Taringa. I haven't met him, but a friend of mine went to look at a Corolla in november and found him helpful

I've talked to a couple over the past few weeks and one thing is consistent: there will be no discounts until they have spare stock sitting on the lot. Haven't been able to get decent finance rates, extended warranty or anything out of them.

I'm probably not signing anything tomorrow, I just want to talk to them. I won't be ready to buy for a few months anyway, but if I am going to need to preorder, I'd like to have a dealer relationship in place.

I went into Sci Fleet on the weekend and had a chat with them. They were pretty upfront about having no real information, and they gave a tentative price but immediately (possibly because I frowned) said that what they had been telling people was based purely on speculation and in no way true or confirmed.

I explained that I was new to the 'new car' game and just wanted to talk to somebody, kind of feel the place out. They were nice enough, I suppose as I didn't really have anything specific that I wanted other than a conversation. The sales lady mentioned a deposit for securing early stock, and when I said that I didn't really mind waiting, as I wanted to be sure of everything before I take the leap she laughed, and said it was refreshing because most people were 'pushy and impatient' I think she said. Anyway, she took my details and said they'd call when they had a car to test drive. Very little actual gain from the whole exercise, but a little face time, they know I'm here and interested, that'll do me for now. Oh, I did ask about what 'comparison rate' means, as I didn't know (embarrassing as I work in finance, but it has different meanings in different markets) and from their answer, if I can get that 2.3% on the 86, toyota finance is definitely an option.

they said mid 30's for the GT and mid 40's for the GTS. Don't know whether she saw the look on my face but she did stress that it was total guesswork and based on nothing but conjecture and heresay. I don't care for that price and no matter that I salivate over this beastie every day, I'm happy to wait and see what happens. At the end of the day if the price doesn't change, my reticence will at least mean I can put a bigger deposit down.
