need a clutch assembly

What's the most inexpensive clutch assembly and where can i find it
dealer is telling me 3700

got to be more specific to the clutch assembly.

because if all you need is the pressure plate, the clutch disk and a flywheel 3700 is too much.

but if you want the peddle, the MC, SC, throwout bearing, clutch fork, the SS breaded lines. the cost plus labor could add up.

The guy just mentioned pressure plate, clutch disk and flywheel, why would he quote me so high

dont know, but if its the above 3, there are plenty of aftermarket options that run around 800-1K w/o labor.

if you go to a reputable shop based on forum members recommendation, the labor rate is not that bad either.

there is always a DIY option. i have done it myself. it takes a lot of work, but with the right tool and time, you can do it.

PS. my first time changing the clutch took me over 10 hrs. that is including break time and searching stuff up.

the dealer is trying to jack you with the price IMO. ask him to print out the parts cost and labor rate.

you can get this for 283.55 and resurface the flywheel.

any regular reputable mechanic can do this work.

all and all it should only cost you around $500 if all you need is factor clutch replacement.
