I couldn't remember exactly. Either way, much stickier than Primacy.

Fair points, so those of us that were running max performance summers on the old car should expect roughly the same.

only the limited gets them with the 18"s.
The base/premium still gets the primacies on 17"s

This is why I added adjustable sway bars to my FRS after the new wheels and tires. I was getting so much body roll it felt like a Miata lol.

I ended up setting them at the lowest setting, which was 100% stiffer than the stock sway bars, so still getting a little bit of roll and movement but felt overall super flat in the corners.

I am still waiting to see how the new car feels before I make any mod decisions though.

Less low speed damping causing the car to "float" a bit?

It seems like the Pilot Sport 4 is mainly positioned as an OE tire here in the US vs the UK.

Front sway bar is 18.3mm hollow vs 18mm solid, and the rear sway bar is back to the pre-facelift ZC6 size (14mm from 15mm) BUT the new mounting makes it more efficient so it should act like a bigger bar than the 14mm solid that it is.

Overall I don’t see how the new BRZ can be softer than the 2017. The front bar is probably be softer (no way to know without knowing the ID), but the hefty increase in front spring rate can compensate for a decent loss in roll stiffness. Maybe overall NVH improvements are creating an increase in overall comfort that makes it seem softer overall?
I don't know. Here is what he was saying in a comment:

Like @said, it may be in the damping, or the grippier tires. I haven’t driven PS4 yet, so I don’t know how the sidewall compares to primacy HP either. Could even be a combination of overall NVH reductions. The springs and sway bar specs indicate at least roughly equivalent if not slightly higher roll stiffness.

More heat capacity yes. Stickier at peak? I actually don't think so, but the peak is very, very narrow on the Primacy, and really not accessible to most. The PS4 is designed for this type of spirited driving though!

Hey man, long time no see congrats on your new BRZ. I am planning to get myself a '22 BRZ Limited too (after a couple SS 1LEs, Supercharged ND Miata ..etc ) and have recently moved to Orange County from Seattle. Hopefully I'll see you at one of those events. Cannot wait to start attending to events here in SoCal
