I connected to my car as suggested in other posts. Blue goes from the valenti blue taillight wire, to the light greyish blue wire in the valenti reverse light harness. And the red from the valenti tail light to the thin red wire on the valenti reverse light. Then just plug the plug in.

So essentially, the blue taillight wire from the valenti tail light harness will makes its way to the V bar and ground, and the red from the valenti tail light harness will make its way to the left most solder point on the triangle with a new wire bridging the left most and middle solder location.

Check and make sure your quick connects are squeezed down hard enough. That happened to me too.

Its back together for now,it is wired exactly like yours the first time I hooked it to car only the triangle would light under running lights and then itd go off when brake was pressed so I tried all over again and again.. Lol sucks, the only thing I can think of is my lack of soldering skills, even though the connections feel sturdy. And BTW I've redone the quick connects twice with same results

I'd say open it up and take pics. Can you explain what color from the taillights goes to what places inside the reverse light?

As far as inside the light? The orange is wired straight to blue, um extra wire added from left post to center post. Can't remember all right off but i double and triple checked your pics as I went along

Gotcha. What you want to check is whether the red goes to the light blue or if the orange goes to light blue. When you get pics i can tell you what is wrong. Get pics of everything. I bet you didn't fry it

Any ideas what would make only the triangle be on with running lights instead of the v?

If you have the wrong wire running to the triangle vs V.
